DRAFT — pending compliance review. This document is a working draft prepared for review by CrossCountry Mortgage compliance and is not yet a final, binding policy.

VA Loan Shield® ("the Tool," "we," "us") is operated by Mike Olesh, a licensed mortgage loan originator (NMLS #1938946) affiliated with CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC (NMLS #3029). This policy explains what information the Tool collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. How the Loan Estimate Analysis Works

When you upload or drag-and-drop a Loan Estimate to run an analysis, the PDF is read and analyzed entirely within your web browser using JavaScript. For the on-device analysis, the contents of your Loan Estimate are not uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted to any server. The analysis happens locally on your device, and the results are displayed only to you.

Important distinction: The on-device analysis is private. However, if you choose to submit your information or your Loan Estimate to us using one of the contact forms described below, that data is transmitted to us. See Section 2.

2. Information You Choose to Submit

The Tool only transmits data to a server when you take an action to send it. This happens through the following optional forms:

Submitting any of these forms is entirely voluntary. You can use the on-device analysis without ever submitting your information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who We Share It With (Service Providers)

Information you submit is processed by service providers acting on our behalf:

[Compliance to confirm: full list of subprocessors and applicable data-processing terms.]

5. Data Retention

We retain information you submit for as long as needed to respond to you and to comply with our legal and recordkeeping obligations as a mortgage originator. [Compliance to specify exact retention periods, particularly for documents containing financial information.]

6. Your Choices and Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have submitted by contacting us at the address below. Depending on your state of residence (for example, California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. [Compliance to confirm state-specific rights language.]

7. Security

Submissions are transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Tool is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
